Cook / Chef – position commencing 4th July 2020

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and skilled cook/chef for our busy cafe / takeaway (subject to Covid-19 restrictions) at Bowland Wild Boar Park situated just 2 miles from Chipping and open March to December.

This is a permanent post covering 9am to 5pm over 3 – 4 days per week (to include Tuesdays & Wednesday). Hours may vary at busy /quiet times of the year.

Wages based on relevant experience.

The right candidate will be able to produce good quality café / takeaway food (including desserts) using local produce/suppliers where possible and be willing to work as part of a team.

Duties to include:

Plan prepare and present appealing café / takeaway food for our guests.
Possess relevant qualifications in food hygiene, preparation, and cookery to ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of Food Safety and health & safety regulations in all areas of the kitchen, along with COSHH regulations.
Have knowledge of specific diets and allergies to accommodate guests’ requirements.
Manage food stocks, check deliveries as required and place them in the appropriate storage areas.
Estimate expected food consumption and organise relevant preparation.
Assist with overall kitchen staff management and rotas.
Communicate with management on new receipts and improvements to our service.

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
