Supporting Lancashire Mind

Family wildlife park Bowland Wild Boar Park is raising awareness for men’s mental health this Father’s Day.

This Father’s Day, Bowland Wild Boar Park is offering more than just a day out — it’s a chance to raise awareness for an important cause

On Sunday, June 15th, all dads will receive free entry to the park, and families can book a table at Bowland Tipis to enjoy a delicious hog roast and a complimentary drink. It’s set to be a memorable day for families and a meaningful one for the community. Tickets are available online now.

Located on the outskirts of Preston, Bowland Wild Boar Park is a much-loved family destination, home to a wide variety of farm and wild animals. The park also boasts a large adventure playground, tractor and barrel rides, and offers access to the stunning landscapes of the Forest of Bowland — an ideal escape for families with children.

Adding to the day’s festivities, the team from Lancashire Mind will be onsite hosting a fun-filled fundraiser. Activities will include face painting, a higher-or-lower game, and an exciting raffle — with all proceeds going toward local mental health initiatives.

Neil McDonald, Director of Bowland Wild Boar Park, said:

“We’re proud to be partnering with the brilliant team at Lancashire Mind to raise awareness for men’s mental health. It’s a cause that matters deeply to us, and Father’s Day is a fitting time to shine a light on it.”

Andrea Pollard, Fundraising Lead at Lancashire Mind, added:

“We’re really looking forward to joining the team at Wild Boar Park. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with families, raise vital funds, and support those in our community who may need help.”

Join us for a day of fun, food, family — and making a real difference.
